Our comparison brings together two all-round tyres, the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 and the Linglong Grip Master 4S. Both are designed for year-round use, but each has its own strengths and weaknesses.

In terms of overall performance, the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 manufactured by Continental has received a rating of 85% in our tests. This tyre excels especially with regards to exterior noise, wet circle cornering, wet handling, rolling resistance, and snow handling. It is made in the Czech Republic and has clinched the 3rd spot in AUTOBILD's test out of 37 tyres and the 5th spot in Autobild's test out of 35 tyres.

On the downside, its Aquaplaning reserves are average and it leans more towards the high-priced range. When on a wet track, it has short braking distances, good grip, and sporting secure handling. It displays an impressive performance on snow and ice but understeers slightly under certain conditions.

In contrast, the Linglong Grip Master 4S manufactured by Linglong has done less spectacularly in the tests, not receiving a specific rating. Some of its best features are its comfort and price-to-value ratio. It managed to grab the 14th spot out of 37 tyres in the AUTOBILD test and landed on the 20th spot in Autobild's other test out of 35 tyres.

The Linglong's performance is safe on dry tracks with good comfort and high running performance. However, it shows weaknesses on snowy and wet roads and mediocre Aquaplaning reserves.

In summary, for those who prioritize exterior noise reduction, wet and snow handling, the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 would be the preferable choice. For drivers who emphasize comfort and value for money, the Linglong Grip Master 4S is the better option. That being said, if strong performance on both wet and snow-covered roads is a must-have, then the Continental will likely be the more reliable tyre.

In conclusion, while these two tyres have been replaced by newer models, their performance characteristics remain a valid basis for comparing Continental and Linglong's allround tyres performance philosophy.
